Japanese Thermal Permanent Hair Straightening Treatment helps to straighten and rejuvenate hair. Its essential elements such as Collagen, Cellulous Proteins, Silk Proteins, Elastine Protein, Amino Acids, Keratin and many other precious proteins which are mostly present in oil based beauty facial products have been scientifically transformed to become water based elements and easily absorbed into each hair shaft through water as an agent, then finally activated and locked in through thermal treatment. These precious proteins help to provide shine, soften and smooth hair and instantly improve manageability.

What types of hair can be straightened/curled using these systems?
Most hair types are suitable. A prior consultation with Mei will determine if this is right for you.
Is coloured hair suitable for straightening/digital curling?
Generally, yes it is but the condition of the hair will be assessed by Mei prior to treatment. We recommend that if you plan to colour your hair this should be done at least two weeks before or two weeks after the treatment.
How often should I have straightening/digital curling done?
The average time between treatments is 4 – 9 months. Hair texture and speed of growth amongst other factors will determine the best time frame for you.
How long do the treatments take?
Usually between 4-5 hours but very long or dense hair may take longer.
Is there anything I should NOT do with my hair after treatment?
For 48 hrs you should not wash your hair, or do anything to your hair which you do not want to remain there, e.g. crimps from rubber bands, clips, hats etc. Do not colour your hair for at least 10 days.
Do I have to use special products afterwards?
Home Care products are specially designed for use after straightening/curling care to maintain the condition of your hair.

  • Phiten Bella Shampoo – Regularly used this shampoo will strengthen the hair leaving it soft and smooth,
    With hydrolysed silk, keratin, sericin and algae. Contains genuine Aqua Gold, which is an excellent conductor in delivering and helping hair to absorb proteins deeper into hair shaft for longer lasting results. Sodium Laureth Sulphate/Sodium Chloride Free.
  • Phiten Bella Treatment – An intensive, deep nourishing conditioner that strengthens the hair leaving it soft and smooth, with aqua gold, collagen and keratin proteins to be absorbed slowly into hair all day. Use it every time after shampooing. It can also be used as an intensive treatment.

Do I have to style my hair after treatments?
Yes, you will need to style your treated hair as the treatment is not a direct replacement for styling

Yes, through telephone consultation with Mei (her mobile 07968 065525), she can advise you as to how to combine the 2 journeys into 1.

What kind of results do I expect from Straightening?If your hair is naturally straight and frizzy, it will make your hair shiny and straight.
If your hair is coloured, wavy and frizzy, it will make your hair soft and straight, but less shiny. The finish look can be enhanced by quick styling using a straightener.
If you hair is very curly and frizzy, it will make your hair soft and straight, the fizz is minimized, shine is less. The finish look can be enhanced by quick styling using a straightener.
