Rainbow Connection Professional Hair Salon was established in 1989 by Mei H G Turner, Owner & Artistic Director.
Apart from being well known and pioneering in Yuko System & Japan Remake System Permanent Hair Straightening Treatment throughout the country since 2002, Mei and her team of creative stylists specialist in creative hairstyling/colouring and all aspects of professional everyday hairdressing work.
Mei H G Turner is a professionally trained Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy Hairstylist and the owner of Rainbow Connection Salon. She is fully qualified as a City & Guilds Vocational Assessor & Hairdresser. Mei has also received a Master Craftsman Award from the Hairdressing Council for Advanced Level Hairdressing and Management. Since March 2002, Mei has been a Permanent Hair Straightening Expert, adapting the various Japanese systems, including the 'Yuko System' and the 'Japan Hair Remake System', and has created her own formulae and methods to achieve very successful results in permanent hair straightening to meet individual needs. From March 2002 to December 2007, 647 people have had these treatments.

Mei's Motto
Mei's motto for being a successful fashion hairstylist is one where you need to create new styles for both new and regular clients - face shapes change, and the hair colour and texture too. The fine balance is to find the style that suits each individual and the colour that enhance their unique appearance using her best skill. It requires artistry to create beautiful styles and skill to produce excellent results - this works for all her clients.
Her trendy fashion sense from her background as a teenage TV Presenter in Hong Kong and dedication to on-going training in advance hairdressing has helped her to become renowned for her unique artistry within hair creative energy and individuality. It has become her signature by continuing to push boundaries of hairstyling combined with profound technical skill.
Mei's Hairdressing Folio is a modern day interpretation of the mod and glam look. Taking inspiration from the 70's and 80's singers and bands such as Jon Bon Jovi, The Small Faces, Rolling Stone, The Queen, Marianne Faithful and others, Mei has revived the styles and brought them up-to-date with the latest cutting and colouring techniques.
